How to install a high top in a van. You'll need to remove the door panels and the window assembly. With a hand saw or other cutting tools, cut off the A-pillar section where the window glass fits and remove the whole frame. Then you can use your air nibbler or another cutting tool to cut out the roof above the headliner inwards to create a vertical lip on which you will rest your high-top frame and bolt on all four corners. Don't forget to cut away any raised portions of the brake light so that it gets out of the way when you raise your lid.
